European Cup of Tea with Irish Flavour

Opening presentation about the Irish European policy will be given by H. E. Alison Kelly. Presentation will be followed by the debate “How was the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU?”

The event takes place on 20 June 2013 at 17.00 in European House (Jungmannova 24, Praha 1).

Strangers to Citizens

The travelling exhibition Strangers to Citizens introduces the story of the Irish who left their country for continental Europe between 1600 and 1800.

The Embassy in cooperation with the Czech Eurocentres is organising a tour of the exhibition in the Czech language, through the Czech and Moravian regions. Ambassador Kelly has launched an opening of the exhibition on Monday, 29 April at the fabulous Gong building in Ostrava, Vítkovice.  As of 3 June, the exhibition has been on display in České Budějovice, where it runs until 18 June and then moves on to Hradec Králové.

Embassy representative Thomas Bellew will open the exhibition on 20 June at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, Hradec Králové.

 Prague Hibernians Gaelic Football Club

The Prague Hibernians Gaelic Football Club was established in May 2009 by a group of Irish football fans living in Prague. The team now consists of approx. 35 players, most of them from Ireland.
