The programme of the EU Trio-Presidency of Ireland, Lithuania and Greece, effective from January 2013 until end June 2014, was presented at the offices of the Representation of the European Commission in Prague on 17 January.
The 18 month Trio Programme was contextualised by Head of the European Commission Representation, Mr Jan Michal and introduced by Ambassador Alison Kelly who also spoke of the priorities of the Irish Presidency Programme. Contributions were also made by the Ambassador of Lithuania, H.E. Mr. Aurimas Taurantas and the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Greece, Mr. Georgios Stilianopoulos.
The Ireland-Lithuania-Greece Trio Programme is focussed on stimulating growth, creating jobs and boosting EU competiveness.

Minister of State Brian Hayes made an official visit to Prague in September. On Tuesday, 11 September, he unveiled the new logo of the Czech Irish Business and Cultural Association (CIBCA) at a reception held at the Embassy.
During the event, Minister Hayes met with members of the Irish community in the Czech Republic as well as Czech invitees. The reception was hosted by Irish Ambassador to the Czech Republic, H.E. Ms. Alison Kelly.
Minister Hayes also attended the OSCE Environmental Forum while in Prague.

Minister of State for European Affairs Lucinda Creighton met with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and State Secretary for European Affairs Jiří Schneider at the Czernin Palace on Wednesday, 25 July. Minister Creighton also met with the Secretary of State for European Affairs Vojtěch Belling.
